As a Senior API Engineer for Core Services Group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining, the current and future public-facing API that powers FUGA distribution clients.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring usage of our current API to help develop a shared understanding of most common client use cases

  • Driving a “design-first” approach and collaborating with technical and non-technical API stakeholders to validate requirements for the new API

  • Owning the end-to-end development, including orchestration, transformation, routing, data mapping, and connectivity across services

  • Ensuring the API follows best practices in security and architectural governance

  • Collaborating with the product team and operations stakeholders to help migrate clients to the new API


  • 5+ years of experience developing complex applications at scale

  • Full-stack engineering background with strong API design and development expertise

  • Proficient with JavaScript, Node.js, and a strong understanding of web fundamentals

  • Dedicated to end-to-end integration testing

  • You have a product-oriented mindset and empathy for the users

  • Proven record of building products from scratch

  • You have a point of view and are comfortable collaborating and respectfully challenging other stakeholders in and outside the team

  • Experience leading initiatives and clearly communicating to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working in agile environments, preferably Scrum or Kanban

Nice to haves

  • Understanding of event-driven architectures

  • Experience interfacing with clients directly

  • Jenkins and Github actions

  • Experience with React

  • Experience working with music metadata and audio files/codes
