As a Senior Product Designer for FUGA, you will be responsible for creating high quality interaction and UI designs for our customers, who represent some of the most culturally significant record labels, distributors and management companies in the music industry.

We empower those customers with a full suite of products to run their digital business, including content ingestion, catalog management, supply chain, analytics and royalty reporting solutions. FUGA is the leading technical partner for the independent music industry, and we’re looking for someone who is genuinely excited to collaborate with us in this rewarding and challenging domain.

You’ll be part of a new team formed to build and own a market-leading experience for Splits & Payments workflows, helping ensure FUGA’s labels, as well as their artists and creative contributors, receive the royalties they’re due in a timely, efficient and transparent way.

Candidates for this role can be based in The Netherlands, Germany, Italy or United Kingdom.

What will I be doing?

  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to drive discovery and definition of future music industry products in the financial services domain, starting with Splits & Payments

  • Initiate and execute the appropriate form of quantitative and/or qualitative user research and share those insights with the team

  • Enable the team and stakeholders by facilitating ideation workshops to translate those insights into ideas that form innovative new products and features

  • Design the workflows and detailed interactions to realize these ideas

  • Sketch and prototype ideas to quickly assess viability, and design the fine grained details of interactions

  • Work closely with engineers as they build and ship features for the product, producing the required visual assets

  • Own the success or failure of your design work and initiate design and engineering sprints to improve shipped work


  • Extensive experience as a Product Designer, including working on new software products from inception through execution and market launch

  • You have been embedded within a multidisciplinary product team and understand agile methodologies/ways of working

  • Products you have worked on have complex business logic; users are specialists in their domain, for example B2B or SaaS. You have worked with architects and senior engineers to define systems that solve these problems, and can hold your own in technical discussions

  • Experience with financial services products that render payments to users is strongly preferred, music industry experience is desirable but secondary

  • Service design methodologies such as personas, journey mapping, service blueprints, user story mapping, experience maps, sketch workshops

  • You understand modern product discovery methods and can help take others with less experience on the journey with you

  • You’re comfortable working with and contributing to design systems. We use material design, so experience with this is a definite plus

  • Self steering and self starter. You are able to work as a solo designer, but also be part of a design team

  • Strong communicator of design work and your rationale behind proposals

  • Personal leadership: you are able to bring people from multiple disciplines together to drive projects forward
